Close to 30 years ago in Copenhagen lived a trio of musicians who sought some sort of progression to the stereotypes of the city’s concurrent techno and house music scene. At the time Copenhagen was a vibrant city primed for a transformation in culture, music and lifestyle. Giovanni Campagna, Giuseppe De Bellis and Rodrigo Passannanti found themselves riding the crest of this wave of change and in 1991 Electrodelia was born.

In contrast to the generic rock and indie which were most venue’s genre of choice, Electrodelia opted to focus on incongruous, extravagant live shows supported by stage specific choreography simulating operating theatres and the like. Their pursuits were well received and caught the attention of Warner Chapel Denmark and a publishing contract was agreed. Their first album “Animals and Love” was released in ’91 on Bubble Sound Records (Copenhagen) which was followed by a single “K.M.S” in ’92. Further releases included the “Diabetic” EP released again on Bubble Sound Records in ’94 and a Techno/Pop Remix of well-known Rolling Stones hit track "Satisfaction" on Scandinavian Records in ’94. However the one particular record which has eluded wider dissemination and availability due to its promotional nature and limited number of copies pressed was the New-Age House epic “Visions of Electrobombay”. Uploaded at a slightly pitched-down speed via Captain Starlight’s incredible “Parels Voor De Zwijnen” YouTube channel, Visions of Electrobombay also made its way into RAMZi’s Dekmantel podcast.

“Juices” - the records B-side - was the product of a series of live jams in the group’s rehearsal room. They would also record in a studio in Malmø run by producer Håkan Lidbo and in their equipped recording studio in Copenhagen. Using a melange of synthesisers, drum machines, samplers and effects processors, it’s hard to imagine the challenges and triumphs faced when considering today’s simple music production software.
